Discovery Park
Seattle's largest city park offers unbeatable views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Great picnic spot. Located close to the bars and restaurants of Ballard just across Salmon Bay.
Gas Works Park
An iconic park on the north side of Lake Union. A short drive from the University District as well as attractions such as the Fremont Troll and statue of Lenin.
El Camino
A fun spot for margaritas with a killer tortilla soup. Located in the heart of the Fremont neighborhood.
Belmont
Stop by Belmont for classy cocktails before exploring the rest of Capitol Hill's extensive nightlife.
Top Pot Doughnuts
There are multiple locations, including a fancy two-story downtown and our local Top Pot on 35th Ave!
Third Place Books Ravenna
Whatever you are in the mood for- a good book, a chai latte on the patio, or wine in a cozy pub- our neighborhood Third Place Books has it all. If you visit the pub, get the hummus plate. The Greek owner makes it herself and may visit your table to make small talk.
The Mountaineering Club
You may need to make reservations ahead of time but the Graduate's rooftop bar is always worth a visit. Come in the daytime for views of the Cascades, Olympics, and Ranier, or come at night for the city lights.
Seattle Asian Art Museum
The museum was recently renovated and is located in Volunteer Park. If you want to make a day of it, take a stroll around the park grounds, check out the park conservatory, and visit Bruce Lee's grave.
Musang
If you are going to do any dining out in Seattle, do it here. You will need reservations very far ahead of time (weeks-months) but don't let that scare you away. Musang is the creation of Melissa Miranda, a Filipina Seattle native, and is named after her father, the man who first cooked family versions of the dishes she serves now in her restaurant.
Easy Street Records & Cafe
A bomb breakfast and a truly excellent local record store. Make the most out of a trip to West Seattle by exploring the rest of Alaska Junction and stopping by Alki beach! Accessible by car but due to the bridge closure a water taxi ride may be more enjoyable and provides great views of the skyline!
Alki Beach
Look back across the harbor at Seattle's skyline and relax along the lively West Seattle waterfront. Come early to reserve yourself a fire ring or enjoy the wide range of restaurants and bars. Easily accessible by public transit and water taxi.
Kerry Park
Amazing views of both Mount Ranier and Downtown. A prime location for photos!
