Wedding Party

It's not a party without them!

David Stone

Best Man

Inseparable partners in crime, Dave and Mike met each other through, yes, Skee-Ball. After winning a championship together years ago, the two are rarely seen without the other nearby! So much so, that when one is seen by themselves, the first question from anybody is "where is the other?" Stone (or Uncle Dave as they affectionately refer to him as) has been a part of Mike and Nicole's story since day one and has always been there for the couple. He's been there to provide moral support, a helping hand, and a shoulder to lean on. Stone is known to always put his friends first and that's exactly what he has done for Nicole and Mike. There was never a question when it came down to who should be best man. Stone is an irreplaceable and essential part of this wedding.

Warren "Tripp" Serenbetz III

Groomsman

Tripp has been Mike's oldest friend from childhood on. Growing up only a few houses apart, Tripp and Mike have had their fair share of adventures in the last 30 years. These two have shared cross country treks, holiday power hours, graduations, weddings, bachelor parties, and of course....unmentioned shenanigans. While he resides in Washington State, there has never been any sort of a strain on this long-standing friendship. Tripp and Mike can go years without seeing each other and then pick up right where they left off without missing a stride! The Serenbetz clan took Mike in as their own and as a result, Mike couldn't imagine getting married without Tripp standing there with him. A true brother in every sense.

Matthew Gugel

Groomsman

A dear friend from childhood, Matt and Mike have been going strong since the third grade. With a bond solidified in ink, these two have spent countless hours testing the limits of motorized vehicles and their individual bodily capacity for pain! ATV's, motorcycles, cars, backhoes, etc......Matt taught Mike how to ride them, drive them, crash them, and get back up and go again! Without Matt, Mike may very well not have some of his scars........but he definitely wouldn't have the memories that go along with them!

Christopher "Stump" Dameron

Groomsman

We're not really sure where to start with Stump. He's got one of the biggest hearts hidden behind his magnificent beard. Mike and Nicole met him years ago through Havanas and Stump has since been a very near and dear friend. He attempted to help Mike with beard growth but it was a losing battle. Stump has always been there for sound advice, to share a cold drink, or to make a joke (typically at Mike's expense). A friend above most, Stump is a vital part to not only the groomsmen but the party as a whole!

Alan Werner

Groomsman

A loving husband and father of beautiful twin daughters, Alan has been around for years! What started as having mutual acquaintances quickly turned in to a long-standing friendship that has traversed states, countries, and years. In his travels, Alan made his way to North Carolina for a few years and was the reason Mike ended up meeting the majority of his present-day southern friends! Alan was the reason Mike was able to meet and take a picture with his idol, Coach Jerry York of Boston College and anybody who knows Mike well will understand how much that means! There are too many stories and inside jokes to be contained in a short paragraph about him, but Alan exudes the very definition of a friend and Mike and Nicole couldn't be more honored to have him as part of their day.

Tyler Allen

Groomsman

Tyler and Mike have had quite an interesting road together. Though not the closest of friends initially, Ty and Mike quickly became inseparable! They found a common ground through music and it helped propel their friendship to where it is today! Living together in college really solidified the bond between the two. Through many late nights, a mutual love of the New York Rangers, trips to and from Gettysburg, and of course, Ty becoming Mike's big brother, the two really found a special friendship in one and other! Tyler, his wife Katya, their son Connor, and puppy Harley are anxiously awaiting the newest member of their family! Due in right around the wedding!

Matthew Jones

Groomsman

Matt's photo may be the most perfect representation of him. Always there with a smile or a joke, Matt has known Nicole for well over a decade! Mike and Matt's path crossed years later while playing in an adult skeeball league! The two quickly bonded over a love of hockey but moreover, a true passion for making fun of each other! Matt and Mike have taken many trips over the years that always produce amazingly funny stories.......that can't be repeated. He is credited with introducing Nicole and Mike in the first place years ago when Mike needed a job but that's a story for another time! A great friend, even if he's a dirty Notre Dame Fan, a loving husband, and a proud father, Matt has played a pinacle role in Mike and Nicole's history!

Rebekah "Bekka" Green

Matron of Honor

I met Bekka through mutual friends while attending Queens University of Charlotte. From attending basketball games, learning how to send a text message and studying late nights at Waffle House it was evident this was a friendship built to stand the test of time. Flash forward more years than I will admit to and we are still in each other's corner, supporting, cheering on and most importantly loving one another. I am so blessed to have my sister by choice standing by my side. L+L

Jamie Carson

Matron of Honor

A sister is someone who loves you from the heart. No matter how much you argue you cannot be drawn apart. She is a joy that cannot be taken away. Once she enters your life, she is there to stay. Jamie is my little sister who I affectionately refer to as "Sippy". You may not see the resemblance at first, I got the height and she got ALL of the talent, but get us both laughing and you will see it. We have had plenty of sisterly moments in the last 31 years from fights involving remote control throwing to my tear stained Maid of Honor "speech" at her recent wedding but there is no one I would rather have shared my growing pains with.

Davelyn Steinsberger

Bridesmaid

Davelyn and I became friends eight years ago while we were both working at Winston's Grille. She turned me onto one of my favorite shows, Supernatural, I showed her how The Doctor travels in time and space, we have battled Acromantulas in Lego Harry Potter and have shared many wonderful memories together. While things have changed over these last eight years, careers, addresses and the addition of Sammy and Lilly (Davelyn's two adorable munchkins) one thing has remained the same - our friendship. Thank you for always being there for me and bringing me back down to Earth when I need it. I love your face!

Joy Berrong

Bridesmaid

Joy and I met while I was bartending at Empress Room a few summers ago and immediately bonded over Firefly and baking. Since that time we have swapped recipes, shared laughs and tears, braved the crazy crowds and lines at SuperCon and Joy has delighted in fangirling over horror movies with Mike (I am thankful it isn't me). You can almost always find Joy with a book in hand and a story to tell about her two dogs, Bella and Archie. While our friendship may not be the oldest I would be lost without my tiny cheerleader and nurse. I am so happy to have Joy in my life.

Andrea Mace

Bridesmaid

I met Andrea about five years ago at our favorite local hangout, Havana Deluxe. Every time I saw Andrea she always had a smile on her face and she would be chatting away with one of the other regulars or one of the Mikes. I can't pinpoint exactly when we became friends but I knew I wanted to be friends with her. I am pretty sure I plopped down next to her one night and said something along the lines of "I've seen you here before and I think we should be friends..." We share our love of the beach, a good mani/pedi, an even better cheeseburger and late night porch hangs. A rainy day with Andrea is better than a sunny day without her.

Amanda Bertram

Bridesmaid

I met Amanda through Mike when I started working for the same IT sales company they were working for. Amanda has a passion for dancing that is only outshined by her megawatt smile and infectious laugh! I can always count on Amanda for a pep talk when I am down and a good belly laugh when we hang out. She has the best heart and a personality to match. She shares in Mike and I's love of hockey, and is a HUGE Carolina Hurricanes fan. I will never forget the time she dropped her phone down a storm drain waiting for the Caniac coach one night and Amanda convinced a cook from Armadillo Grill to fish it out with a pair of very long tongs. I love counting Amanda as a friend and not just because she lets me braid her hair whenever I want :)

Christa Newcomb

Bridesmaid

Christa is Mike's sister and mother of his two wonderful nephews. I love spending time with Christa getting to know her better and hearing all about growing up with Mike! She always has wise advice to share, a funny story to tell, fantastic photos to show me (think young beardless Mike) and is one of the most thoughtful people I know. I couldn't imagine a better sister in-law to have and I can't wait to share more glasses of wine and holidays together. I am lucky to have Christa not only as a friend but also as family.
