One of our favorite events every year will be taking place over our wedding weekend! Take advantage of the Lunch Pass (weekdays only 11:30 - 1:30pm, Gate 9) and enjoy some hot cheddar nuggets, a hotdog from Steve's, a walking taco, or a buttered ear of corn. Don't leave without getting a scoop or two of NC State's own ice cream Wolf Tracks by Howling Cow.
One of our early date spots and host location of the annual Jingle Ball. Stop in to sneak a peek at some of the wildlife native to North Carolina, learn about some of the amazing STEM programs and say hi to Gunther the puffer fish - that's not his real name but rather what we like to call him.
Tucked around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Glenwood south is Lucky B's. Mike's favorite hang out spot! With some of the best drink specials around, you can find Mike posted up in his spot on the enclosed patio most weekends. Inside you will find beer pong, skee-ball and bubble hockey for entertainment.
Hidden just off of Glenwood Ave Havana Deluxe is a favorite spot of Nicole's. Owned by Mike Reid, this cigar bar is the best place to talk hockey/nerdy and grab a quiet drink with friends. Fans of bourbon are sure to find something new on the shelves, with Havana's own signature blends available and a large selection of cigars. Havana Deluxe is the only cigar bar in downtown Raleigh.
The go-to spot for shopping in downtown Raleigh. Cameron Village is a mixture of national brand chains, unique local shops, and plenty of spots to grab a bite and a beer. Looking for some vintage records or comic books check out the Cheshire Cat, need a cute accessory swing by Light Years and don't skip the ABC store!
Stop by one of our favorite lunch spots for some hotdogs and a glass bottle coke, just don't ask for ketchup - they don't have any! We definitely recommend getting your dogs with chili and mustard. Make sure to have cash on hand and be prepared to wait - this place only seats about 15 people.
Our favorite new addition to the neighborhood is Two Roosters Ice Cream! We love stopping in on our way home from work to enjoy a scoop or two of their hand-crafted local ice cream flavors. Our favorite is hands down the sea salt caramel cookie dough, but we do like trying the new monthly flavors.
