The oldest lighthouse on Puget Sound, out on a little spit of land with wide sandy beaches on both sides and views stretching to Whidbey Island and Mt. Baker on a clear day. It's a great spot for a beach walk, some bird watching, or just sitting and watching the boats go by. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles!
A 240-acre network of trails on Bainbridge Island. A small detour from Bainbridge with a big payoff in the form of nature, trees, and ferns (Max's fave).
The Bainbridge ferry from Seattle drops you right into Bainbridge's walkable downtown, and it's worth a few hours of wandering. Grab a pastry at blackbird bakery, browse Eagle Harbor Books, and make sure you pop by Pegasus for a coffee! We also love Bruciato (pizza) and Proper Fish (fish and chips) if you get hungry! There's also no shortage of wine tasting rooms in the area.
An 18 ft trool made entirely of recycled wood, tucked into a quiet grove about a mile from the Bainbridge ferry terminal. She was built by Danish artist Thomas Danbo as part of a collection of trolls across our local islands!
Poulsbo leans into its Norwegian heritage. Stroll the waterfront along Liberty Bay, stop into Sluys Bakery for a treat (we love the dough boys) and grab a pint at Valholl Brewing.
Right off the Seattle - Kingston ferry is downtown Kingston! Check out the waterfront and grab food, coffee, or a drink with marina views. Pop by Quiet Place Park for a stroll through the forest.
