As of June 2, New York State (NYS) has lifted all testing and vaccination requirements for catered events under 250 people. For detailed guidelines on catered events in NYS, please see the link below. https://www.governor.ny.gov/sites/default/files/atoms/files/Indoor_and_Outdoor_Food_Services_Detailed_Guidelines.pdf As you know, things change regularly. We expect things will go normally but will be following whatever rules are in place at the time from Belhurst and local government. We strongly encourage all our guests to get vaccinated if you are not already. We will continue to keep current information posted on our website.
The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside weather permitting. Dinner and dancing will take place inside. Cross your fingers for great weather!!
There is space indoors in case of rain and the ceremony will be moved to one of the ballrooms.
Yes, it is! You will need to use a side entrance. Reach out to us, and we can give you more details on where to enter!
Yes, Belhurst Castle has ample parking for guests and it's free!
Yes, we have booked a block of hotel rooms in Geneva. We have a shuttle that will run from the hotels to the venue and back to the hotels at the end of the night. We will provide a shuttle schedule when it gets closer.
Yes, of course! There is not a formal hotel block at this site, but a limited number of rooms are available in the Castle Chamber and the Vinifera Inn. Although owned by Belhurst, White Springs Manor is not on the premises and will require a short drive.
No, there are plenty of options in Geneva, but because our wedding is in peak tourist season in the Finger Lakes, lodging in general may be difficult to find. We've been able to reserve a limited number of rooms at one of the hotels nearby, but we strongly recommend booking early. The additional options are the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Fairfield Inn & Suites, which are all located in Geneva, NY. We will provide transportation to and from these hotels to the venue. AirBnB and Vrbo are also popular in this area. For more information on booking in our room blocks or accommodation options in general, please visit the Travel page on our website.
Our ceremony will begin at 4pm. You can arrive as early as you would like to enjoy the amenities at the Belhurst. The Belhurst Castle has a winery on-site for tastings and Edgar's Steakhouse for something to eat. There is also a wonderful patio overlooking Seneca Lake that you can sit and rest before the party starts!
We would really like to see everyone’s faces and not their devices during the ceremony, so we ask that phones and cameras be put away. But once we are announced Mr. & Mrs., take as many photos as you’d like! We have hired a fun husband and wife team to take photos during the big day and we will be happy to share the photos from the ceremony.
This isn't black tie. Leave the tux at home. In fact, the bride would love if no one wore black. Dress colorfully. We'll be wearing ties, jackets and bright dresses. But this is a castle. If you've got a kilt or a suit of armor you've been dying to show off, by all means wear it. We don't judge.
Absolutely. There will be a section for you to note any allergies or requests in the meal section when you RSVP.
