Is there a dress code?
Answer
Yes: black tie optional. We would love to embrace the formal garden at Hildene and encourage guests to wear floor length dresses, shoes that will be comfortable in the grass, linen or dark colored suits. It may be very hot in July and we have the ceremony and cocktail outside. Please dress with that in mind.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

5pm. The Hildene staff will greet you at the Welcome Center and usher you to the Historic Mansion where you can check out many of the unique Lincoln family items from Abe's bible and top hat, to other historic items. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. Please arrive before 5:30pm to ensure you have a seat.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
Yes! We have two 55 person coach buses and two 14 person vans available to transport all of our guests to/from the wedding. A 55 person coach bus and 14 passenger van will be available for the Dorset area pickup. This will have an earlier pickup time to ensure guests arrive on time. Another 55 person coach bus and 14 person van will pickup guests from the Manchester area. Various trips can take place from the Manchester locations as most are 5-10 minutes away from the venue. Please note that guests will not be able to enter the wedding after 5:30pm.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes. Hildene has a parking lot, although not very large. Use of our shuttle services is encouraged.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We tried to be mindful of loved ones and their growing families. Children are invited to attend but we will leave it up to the parents whether they want to bring their child to the event or have a date night. Just be sure to RSVP accordingly.
