Where is the venue?

Old Wide Awake Plantation is situated in Hollywood, SC! Just outside of Charleston and about 30 minutes from Downtown Charleston.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Please remember this is an outdoor wedding in April, in the Lowcountry! We expect it to be mid to low 80s during the day and cooling off to the mid 60s by the evening. With it being the Lowcountry, there is ALWAYS a chance of rain, though hopefully if it does rain it will be a light sprinkle that moves by quickly; however, we will have a tent on reserve.

What should I wear?

Answer

We ask that everyone dress formal-to-semi-formal but comfortable! We want everyone to look and feel their best! Men should wear a suit and tie or dinner jacket. Ladies should wear a cocktail dress. This is an outdoor wedding with the ceremony space on compacted gravel and the reception in the yard/on a concrete patio, so ladies be mindful of shoe choices, a chunky heel, as opposed to a stiletto, would be preferable (we don't want any twisted ankles before we hit the dance floor!).
