South Lake Tahoe
Fisher and I made a detour here before heading north to the Chalet View Lodge. A quick 2 hour drive east from Sacramento, CA (or 1 hour-ish southwest of Reno, NV). A must stop in our opinion! Tons of hiking spots, local beaches, and fun places to grab a drink or bite to eat. For our casino lovers, walk over the California/Nevada state line to test your luck! *The Chalet View Lodge is about a 2 hour drive north of South Lake Tahoe*
Reno
"The Biggest Little City in the World" Just to name a few: Casinos, the Reno Arch, Nevada Museum of Art, and the Riverwalk District loaded with shops, boutiques, galleries, & diverse restaurants
Truckee
Located northwest of Lake Tahoe this is another little mountain town with great eats, cute shops, and tons of outdoor activities near by. Just under 40 minutes from Reno, NV.
Napa Valley
For our wine lovers! You're fairly close to wine country. Closest if you choose to fly into Sacramento, CA or San Francisco, CA. Estimated drive depending on which wineries you chose is about 3.5-4.5 hours to Portola, CA.
Blairsden-Graeagle
This is the closest town to Chalet View Lodge. Approximately a 10 minute drive.
