It's a short hike, but a bit steep to hike down toward the water. The views are amazing and if the time is right, you can see whales! Parking is limited, but if you get here earlier in the day, it's not problem.
Erika went to college here (go Viks!!) and enjoys walking around campus to take in the views of the water as well as the unique sculptures. The far south end of campus (in the Fairvhaven college area) has a sweet overlook called Sehome Arboretum as well as some hiking trails that eventually lead back towards campus. Worth the exploration!
This park offers gorgeous views of the bay, whether you are walking, biking, or skating! The trail takes you on a nice paved/gravel path by (and above the water) all the way down toward Fairhaven where there are a plethora of shops, dining and sight-seeing!
Just a beautiful drive along Highway 11 between Bow and Bellingham. Lots of pullouts for views of Bellingham Bay. Runs parallel to I-5 and drops you off just south of downtown Fairhaven.
Bellingham is home to over a dozen wonderful breweries and cideries, many of which have food options either on-site or via food truck. Our favorites are Wander, Kulshan, Structures, and Aslan.
If you're looking to make your trip a longer vacation, the Canadian border is less than hour north, eh! Go see the Peace Arch or head up to Vancouver. Don't forget your passport for this one...duh!
