5:00am... I know it's early and we are right there with you. Our estimate is that it will take about 45mins from Tenaya Lodge to Cathedral Point so we will need to be ready to go around 4am. We hope the beauty of watching the sunrise as we say "I Do" will make up for it.
Firstly, we wish we could have everyone attend, however in changing to this type of wedding we made the choice to make this a personal and intimate celebration. That being said, we ask that only the individuals listed on the invitation attend both the ceremony and the reception.
Yes, please! We have listed your children in the invitation so please also RSVP for them as well. Please be mindful that Cathedral Beach is out doors and it may also be slightly dark in the morning arriving for the ceremony, therefore safety is our top priority!
Another great question, and we wish we knew the answer to this! Our hope was to have Nori and Lili in attendance at the ceremony as well and we were told in getting our park permit that pets are not allowed at ceremony's. Can you bring your dog for the trip? Of course! Tenaya Lodge is pet friendly and they have specific rooms in booking that are pet friendly. Our ceremony and reception however, will not be pet friendly so please keep that in mind in deciding to bring your fur babies along.
For the ceremony and reception, we are asking for Semi formal wear. That would include suits for men/ boys and and dresses or rompers for women/ girls. We do have some requests when it comes to colors... Since there are such few of us, we thought it would be lovely if it was coordinated a bit. This is purely a suggestion so please don't feel obligated to follow this but it would be nice if you wore: Women: Dresses or Rompers: - Colors: Burgundy, Dark Greens, Browns, Beige, Mustard - We are going for earthy to go with the scenery. Men: Suits - Colors: Grey, Navy, Black, Brown.
This is when we will have our photographer do our group photos. We (and I'm sure you do as well) want the best photos with you as possible.
Our welcome dinner as well as the Reception dinner will be fully covered. Additional meals are up to you and your families to have where ever you would like!
We will be sending out formal invitations closer to the wedding date. You can either mail in your RSVP included in the invitation or there will be a place on this website to RSVP as well as select your preferences on dinner. Check back!
Yes! When you RSVP please let us know of any restrictions you (or a family member) might have or need accommodations for and we will be happy to arrange that!
Yes! If you make your reservation through the Tenaya Lodge website (listed in accomodations) you can use the code below to receive 15% off your room rate. Code: SINGH
Yes! Each car entering the park will have to pay an entrance fee of $35 per car. We will be pre paying for this pass for you and will update you on the details for entering the park. If you happen to have a national park annual pass, please let us know ahead of time.
Yes, but it is limited and is not reserved. Cathedral Beach is a public area in Yosemite Park and open to the public. Our hope is it will be very minimal on visitors at that time and we will have plenty of parking, however to cut down on how many spaces we will need car pooling is requested as much as possible!
