In planning our wedding we began to plan a traditional wedding with all of our friends and families. In doing so we felt we were slowly getting away from what truly mattered in celebrating our love, us. We wanted our love to be the center of this day. That being said, we have decided to say “I Do” in Yosemite National Park at Sunrise on June 5th, 2023. While this feels unconventional, it feels like the right and best decision for us. We have made this website to help provide as much information for the day and days surrounding the wedding ceremony. Please look around and let us know what additional questions you have! You are our favorite people in the world and want to express how much we love each of you. We have made the tough decision to limit our celebration to our close family members to keep it intimate. We want to thank you for your support, encouragement, love and laughter you bring to our lives. You have helped make us who we are today and for that, we are forever grateful! Whether near or far, you will be in our hearts as we say "I Do" to forever.
It was 2018 when our love story first began with 2 swipes right on a dating app! After talking for nearly a month, we finally decided to plan our first date to meet in person. We decided to push each other out of our comfort zones and plan a fun date. Dez had never had sushi before and Nicole wasn’t a fan of scary movies so we decided on sushi and a scary movie. It was effortless and its felt like its never ended! From the beginning we knew that our love was special and we had found our soulmates. Living over an hour apart from each other, through a pandemic and not able to see each other for months, we fought to be together and keep our relationship strong. In 2020 Dez got an amazing opportunity with Amazon for a new job and he made the move to the Bay Area and we finally moved in together! Dez finally got down on one knee and proposed on May 15th, 2022. It was just another regular Sunday and we were spending time at home with our dogs, Lili and Nori. Nicole was completely surprised when she stood up and Dez got down on one knee. It was private and perfect. Over these 4 years we have built a life together that we are so proud of, and we can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives on this journey together.
