Balboa Park
Balboa Park offers a unique experience for those with and without families with many museums, gardens, trails, and restaurants for guests to visit. It is also where Nicole and C.J took their engagement photos!
USS Midway Museum
A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore a historic aircraft carrier. Activities for all ages including self-guided audio tours, theater, flight simulators, climb-in aircraft, ejection seats and cockpits, guided tours of the bridge and more.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
Unlike the zoo, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park offers you the opportunity to ride through African plains habitats and gives you the chance to connect with wildlife on a closer level. If you do decide to visit, we suggest looking into getting drinks or snack at The Watering Hole at Kijamii Overlook. This restaurant gives you a great view of the giraffes as you enjoy your lunch!
Liberty Station
Liberty Station offers a variety of food and shopping experiences for all! For food you can try many sit down restaurants such as The Presley (C.J's favorite are the Parker-house Truffle Rolls!) or wander through the Public Market for snacks or to go options (we suggest The Mini Donut Company for a sweet treat!). Stone Brewery also has a location there where you can stop for a drink and a meal while you enjoy the outdoor garden patio and koi pond.
Ballast Point Brewing Miramar
San Diego is well known for its breweries and Ballast Point is one of the biggest and most well known! If you are a fan of their store bought options, the physical location in San Diego offers many special R&D brews. For those who do not drink there are also plenty of great food options as well!
Cutwater Spirits
Cutwater Spirits is the distillery equivalent of Ballast Point. This is a favorite of Nicole's for after work happy hours as in addition to their delicious food they also offer season mocktails!
Coronado
Coronado is a beach city neighboring San Diego. Here you can visit the famous Hotel del Coronado, visit the beach, and grab food at a variety of amazing restaurants. You can also visit Centennial Park and see where C.J proposed to Nicole!
Gaslamp Quarter
San Diego's downtown! Here you can find food, nightlife, and most importantly Petco Park where Nicole and C.J have been on many dates to see Padres games.
Seagrove Park
There are many beaches to choose from across San Diego but Seagrove Park is closest in proximity to the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar and is located just a short walk from L'Auberge Del Mar.
SeaWorld San Diego
San Diego's own aquatic theme park offers aquatic shows, rides, and dozens of exhibits featuring marine life from across the globe!
