We know nearly all (but two!) of you are traveling from another state to join us for this momentous occasion. Thank you for doing so; our wedding day simply would not be the same without you. To make the most of your trip to Bristol/Newport, we have events scheduled that you may choose to attend throughout the weekend -- starting on Thursday and going until Saturday evening. You may check our "Schedule" page for more details. Otherwise, we are JAZZED to have you, we appreciate your love, support, and kindness, and we cannot wait to dance into the night with you overlooking the sea... xoxo, N&C
It was a steamy, Summer night in mid-September 2022 when Nicole was cruising down 7th Ave heading home to Brooklyn. Not quite ready for her night to end, she asked the cab driver to stop early at Denino’s pizzeria — a beloved spot where she’d likely run into friends. Sure enough, Jack Ciapciak and his late fiance, Jack Lorentzen <3, coined “The Jacks”, were holding court at the bar. They embraced her, she got settled, and minutes later, a rather handsome young lad slid onto the barstool next to her. He introduced himself as Christian and gave a friendly smile. The two got to chatting about where they’d grown up and their respective jobs. Jack came over and told Nicole he was Cameron Catsavis’ younger brother (Cam and Nicki had been friendly for a year prior through Jack!) — the small world connection shocking them and making them smile. Realizing it was well after midnight on a work night, and knowing this was likely just the beginning of their story, Christian politely excused himself and went home. A few days later, Jack asked if Nicki remembered Cam’s brother. “Of course!," she said. How could she forget! “Well,” Jack said, “He just asked for your number; can I please give it to him!!” She agreed, and so it began. Sort of… Nicki and Christian chatted back and forth a bit, but unfortunately, their timing just didn’t align. Four months after that first night at Denino’s, Nicki asked Jack if he thought Christian was still interested in her. She couldn’t deny that there was some kind of invisible string. Could Jack encourage Christian to try again? So try Christian did — no shot he was letting that initial spark fade! Nicole was thrilled — so thrilled that she agreed to meet Christian for their first date while shooting one of her episodes (which, as Blue Bloods humans know, doing anything besides relaxing after a shoot day is bonkers). That Tuesday, they had their first date at Le Crocodile in Williamsburg, Brooklyn — a swanky restaurant walking-distance from her office. They split a bottle of vino, shared every dish, and were the first ones seated that night…and the very last to leave. Since Then: It’s been Christian and Nicki/Nicki and Christian ever since :) They’ve traveled near and far (Martha’s Vineyard and Porto being amongst two of their favorite trips), undergone new jobs, new apartments, and a new city as one. Christian has encouraged Nicole to be his sous chef (quite an esteemed title!), spend many winter weekends skiing, and learn what it means to be in a loving, big Greek family. Likewise, Nicole has taught him that yellow mustard is a crucial condiment, Chilis is a top-notch dining establishment, and that “CBS Sunday Morning” is her family’s version of Church. They have molded seamlessly into each others’ families and can find fun in mundane tasks so long as they are together. Their love is kind, comfortable, calm, peaceful, plentiful, and fun. He makes her smile bigger than she ever has, and she does the same for him. They *could not possibly* be more excited to get married, and they hope you will be there with bells on to celebrate, too.
