Back in 2017, Chad & I had a mutual friend named Rylan who wanted to set us up. Prior to our first date, Chad and I were in school, working, and navigating adulthood. Dating just wasn't a priority. But Rylan was adamant we meet (and we thank God everyday he was). So we said yes to the blind date. We had no idea what life was going to hold for us. But after that date, we knew we wanted to find out the unknowns together. 7 years later, we were in my hometown, Pleasant Hill, OR. We went to do our annual hike on Mt Pisgah. Now this hike is no joke- it's steep, there's minimal shade, and quite a bit of areas with loose gravel. We made it to the top and while taking a break, Chad started telling me how proud of us he was when accomplish hard things. I truly thought he was just talking about the hike. But then he pulls out a ring and says "I want to do hard things with you for the rest of my life." I responded "Of course I'll marry you!" We will be having our wedding on the property of Rick & Jennifer Lewis in Pleasant Hill, OR. We look forward to having our friends and family surround us on our wedding day.
