Please join us in the PNW!! Just 45 mins outside of Portland, Skamania Lodge is located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, right on the border of Washington and Oregon. Just cross over the magnificent Bridge of the Gods, and you will have completed a part of the Pacific Crest Trail. Even more noteworthy, the Bridge of the Gods is featured in the opening sequence of Twilight, as Charlie and Bella drive to Forks :)

Our Story

Nicole and Cam’s love story began at Tualatin High School in 2014. They were both in their junior year of school and had the same Team Sports class. Cam was initially drawn to Nicole because of her effort and participation in the various games, instead of just standing off to the side. This is where they learned just how competitive they both could be. Nicole became interested in Cam because he was funny and was always having a good time with his friends. It also didn’t hurt that Cam was a good sport when Nicole completely destroyed him in badminton. After months of getting to know each other, they began dating on October 9th, 2015. But when they both went off to separate colleges, Nicole to Colorado School of Mines and Cam to Portland State University, the challenges of maintaining a long-distance relationship put their bond to the test. Despite the miles between them, they made it work with late-night phone calls, FaceTime movie dates, weekend visits, and unwavering commitment. Over four years of college, Nicole and Cam faced personal growth, new friendships, and the natural shifts that came with independence. Yet, their love remained constant, growing stronger with each passing day. Through moments of doubt and times when life pulled them in different directions, they discovered that their relationship wasn’t just about proximity but about trust, patience, and a deep emotional connection. When Nicole graduated in 2020, amid the mayhem of the Covid pandemic, she moved back to Portland where Cam was still finishing up his degree. They decided to move in together and the next chapter of their journey began, full of shared adventures, challenges, and the joy of finally being in the same place (especially while working and going to school less than 5 feet apart). In early November 2023, Cam and Nicole traveled back to Golden Colorado to see some friends. While walking along the beautiful Clear Creek through town and sipping coffee from Windy Saddle, Cam dropped to one knee and popped the question. Nicole obviously said yes! With the foundation of nearly 10 years together, Nicole and Cam’s love blossomed in new ways as they built a life hand in hand, proving that true love could weather any distance. And they know that the best is still yet to come. ♥
