Maid of Honor
The ride-or-die. The soul-friend. She'll be there until the bitter end with us and so she better be standing next to me on this important day. Ole Blanchey is a hoot-and-a-half. She collects little stuffed house ornaments, honors her connection to the Universe, and is a powerful woman. I've never met a human who doesn't fall in love with her.
Bridesmaid
The childhood friend. From riding bikes around town every summer and sleepless sleepovers to 2am hour long conversations and the best reunions ever. This one's imagination surpasses all others. Sweeter than sugar and more interesting and complex than the entire Star Wars series. What would life be like without The Nohnes?
Bridesmaid
The eldest of the Schafer/de Vera/Knudson children, she is not to be confused with a child at all. Gigi/G/Geej/Gigilina is empathetic, kind, warm, while at the same time being a headstrong feminist adolescent of sorts. Never wavering or apologetic in her weirdness, Giana is a true artist with the soul of Mother Theresa. She also has very strong legs with which she likes to kick her sister and stomp up stairs.
Bridesmaid
Bella has been asked to be a part of the festivities for several reasons, but first and foremost, because she smells like flowers and absolutely insists all things run on time. Bella is like a miniature version of Nicole, but with less melanin. This girl is sure to magnify the party and bring a certain #aesthetic.
Bridesmaid
Friends from the military, Not-So-Bad-Ford has been a member of the fam since '11. The whole friendship thing started off a little rocky, but now here she is, standing next to me on the Big Day. Who knew?! Ford is one of those gals who takes a bit to warm up, but once you get her going she's like her dogs; can't settle down and full of piss and vinegar. If she considers you a friend, you don't really need any others.
Bridesmaid
Meet Tara. This one is like the 20-something grandma you never had. She's warm, kind, and has a deep love of felines. Grandma Tara. Back in the day, Brianna and Tara were college roommates, enjoyed singing together in their school's choir, and often reheated bean burritos in their dormroom microwave. Like, daily. A lot of things change, but not the bean burrito part. And not the love between Brianna and Tara. .
Bridesmaid
Brianna has a certain propensity for picking up life-long friends who have somewhat of a shell. Here she went again with Athens. Starting out as young girls in matching crushed velvet dresses and pigtails every Saturday at church (just go with it) to ceremonious sleepovers at Grandma's with power smoothies the next morning. Take it a step further, and you could find them climbing mountains or sitting in the kitchen taste testing Athen's baked creations. Unexpected. But always absolutely delightful.
