We're doing it again!

As all of you know we went ahead with our original wedding date and got married on June 6th, 2021. Due to the covid-19 restrictions we were unable to have the big celebration we had been planning for the past 2 years and eloped with our immediate family. Now that restrictions are gone we are thrilled to be able to have a big celebration with all of our friends and family! We cannot wait to see you all!

How we met

9.08.17

The crazy thing with our love story is that we actually knew each other for close to ten years before we started dating. We lived just a back alley apart for years, yet somehow we never felt the spark until one night when we ran into each other at Hudson's Pub. The pub was busy and tables were sparse, so our mutual friends decided we should share a table. Before we knew, hours had passed by and we hadn't talked to anyone at the table other then each other. Phone numbers were exchanged, hundreds of texts were sent, and two nights later we went on our first date. After that first date was when we pretty much thought, "Okay, this could be something".

The Proposal

07.19.19

Armand and I decided to take a summer vacation to South Africa so that he could finally introduce me to his family on that side of the world. We traveled for three weeks taking in the beaches of Durban, the city life of Johannesburg, and the adventures of the Kruger National Park. Armand had rented two gorgeous bungalows inside the Kruger National Park, one of which was for us and the other for his mother Riana and younger brother Trent. We were right in the middle of the action, we had giraffes grazing a few feet away from us, we saw wild boars running around all over the place, and we even got to feed oranges to a family of zebras passing by our bungalow. Armand had known that I had always dreamed of going on a safari in Africa so he had planned to take me on an evening safari drive tour with a braai supper in the bush to end it off. We got to see so much wild life on our safari, and even got a face to face look with a heard of elephants! When our safari drive came to an end we arrived at a gorgeous outdoor dinner in the bush that was surrounded by white lights, long tables setup with champagne and wine glasses, and a bonfire with a giant sign behind it reading "Nicole Hamilton, Will You Marry Me?". This was definitely the most special moment of my life, and of course my response was YES! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you. See you in Ponoka!
