FAQs & COVID-19 Updates

If you have questions other than what's listed here, please reach out to Anaiir, our wedding planner, at eventedbyanaiir@gmail.com.
Question

How many people will be attending?

Answer

In adherence to the New York State re-opening guidelines (and take additional precautions to keep our family safe), we've decided to have a hybrid in-person/online wedding with less than 90 people joining in person. Thank you for respecting this tough decision. We promise the online experience will be more than another Zoom meeting.

Question

What types of protocols are in place in light of the pandemic?

Answer

Guests joining in person must have proof of either 1. A negative PCR within 72 hours of the event. Please do not get a test prior to Wednesday, June 23rd. 2. Proof of a negative rapid test within six hours of the event - no later than 9am on Saturday, June 26th. 3. Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination within three months of the event. Temperatures will also be checked. Please bring your own mask.

Question

Where can I get a COVID test?

Answer

Walgreens.com Syracuse Community Health Center: https://www.schcny.com/ Upstate Medical Hospital: https://www.upstate.edu/coronavirus/testing/schedule.php

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP by mail or online prior to May 16th. Even if you cannot attend, we appreciate your response for planning purposes.

Question

Will you live stream your wedding? What will it look like?

Answer

Yes! We will live stream the ceremony and have a special virtual reception hosted by DJ Aus. Erin and Nicole will join the live stream throughout the virtual reception to interact with everyone. Stay tuned for more details on how to join from home (and be sure to RSVP! You may receive a little treat at your doorstep.)

Question

I might be traveling from out of state. What should I know?

Answer

Please review and follow the COVID-19 travel advisory and quarantine protocols published by New York State here: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory

Question

Are masks required?

Answer

Per the New York State guidelines, masks will be required at all times except when seated and eating or drinking.

Question

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Our theme is a garden party. Imagine the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic meets Bridgerton.

Question

What should I wear to the ceremony? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is garden cocktail attire. Summery colors like pastels, florals, coral, turquoise, and shades of tan and grey are definitely a great choice. For men, a seersucker or semi-formal suit of almost any color, dress shirt, and tie is appropriate. We invite you to embrace the theme with florals, hats, and fascinators if it tickles your fancy! If in doubt, cocktail attire is also appropriate. Note: The venue is handicap accessible.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors. The reception venue is a mixed indoor/outdoor space with a lovely outdoor courtyard and rooftop garden.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

In June, average daily highs range from from 74°F to 80°F, rarely falling below 62°F or exceeding 89°F. Daily low temperatures range from from 54°F to 61°F.

Question

Will there be sanitizing stations?

Answer

You betcha!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Sure, if you’re joining virtually! For in person RSVPs, we have a strict guest list to stay within COVID-19 guidelines. Our in person wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding reception is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. If you’d like to travel with your kiddos, please let us know with your RSVP and we can work with you to make local babysitting arrangements.

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Vegan and vegetarian options will definitely be provided. Please share your dietary restrictions on the RSVP card provided to you so we can accommodate you.

Question

Why do you have charities on your registry?

Answer

In the spirit of sowing, we selected two of our favorite charities to pour into during this season. Thank you for considering a donation to Gleaners Community Food Bank or the Dr. Connell Osborne Memorial Scholarship on our behalf. We commit to stewarding all cash donations according to the designated purpose.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have room blocks at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown and the Aloft Inner Harbor. Rooms must be reserved by May 26th to take advantage of the wedding rate. See the "Travel" tab of the website for more information.
