Please review the FAQ section to see how we've adapted our wedding in light of the pandemic. Thank you for being flexible and celebrating safely with us!
We met during our sophomore year at Syracuse University. We both lived in DellPlain Hall. Nicole was a resident advisor on the 5th floor and Erin lived on the 6th floor. One evening, Nicole was hosting an event in the main lobby called "Grow a Garden in DellPlain" where residents could pot a plant to take back their rooms. Nicole asked Erin if he wanted to grow a garden and he said "Yes." Although things didn't take off right away, a seed was planted...
Erin and Nicole graduated from Syracuse University in 2015. They launched their careers in Syracuse and Atlanta, respectively.
Nicole visited Syracuse for Orange Central (homecoming) festivities. She let Erin know she was in town and offered him an extra ticket to the football game that afternoon. They met up, went shopping at the SU Bookstore, and walked along the promenade. When it came time for kickoff, they decided to go to Faegan's Pub instead to continue the conversation.
We started dating long-distance but thankfully, it didn't last long. Nicole decided to move to Syracuse to pursue graduate school in September 2017. She was skeptical at first, but Erin's love for the city rubbed off on her. He showed her all the best parts of Syracuse and they started building a community together!
On August 8, 2020, Nicole and Erin went out to dinner in Armory Square, then completed a photo scavenger hunt as a fun way to get out of the house during COVID-19. While reviewing the results of the scavenger hunt, Erin conceded that he was fine with letting Nicole win... forever! He popped the question in front of the Museum of Science and Technology. We think this is fitting since Erin studied physics and Nicole is a data strategist.
Our love has blossomed since our first "gardening" experience in 2012. We can't wait to be husband and wife and celebrate our union with you soon!
