In a quest for a speedy recovery (and a little companionship), Nicolai hopped on Bumble, where he discovered his ultimate remedy: Atieno. After a bit of a struggle—think of a classic romantic comedy—he finally convinced her to go on a date after two weeks of charming persistence. Their first date was a magical stroll through Nairobi's Karura Forest, where they wandered hand-in-hand, deep in conversation. It was there, amidst the trees and tranquility, that they discovered their values aligned like the stars in the night sky. They even found a special bench right at the top of the waterfall, where they shared laughter, dreams, and heartwarming chats that sealed their bond. Karura became their beloved haven. Every time they returned to Nairobi, they would visit that very bench, reliving those enchanting moments. And here’s the fun twist: after three years and a few months of adventure, Nicolai popped the question at that same bench!
