October 1, 2016, I was greeted by this handsome Nigerian man who immediately proceeded to insult me with the label of "bourgeoisie". I was so offended that I went to tell the other bridesmaids (that know me quite well). They hesitantly agreed with him to my disappointment. By the end of the night we had engaged in thoughtful conversation and found that we had many of the same values and desires out of life. I knew he would be my husband after just a few months...I patiently waited for Chijioke to come to the same conclusion. On August 12, 2018, he came to his senses and proposed at Niagara Falls! I thank God for him daily and can not wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

I met Nicola Griffin the morning of October 1, 2016 at my good friend and line brother, Herman Moncure, wedding. Turns out Herman was marrying Nicola's best friend and Nicola was one of the maids of honor. I was actually introduced to Nicola by another line brother, Charles Hyman, who was in attendance at the wedding. Within one minute of conversing with Nicola I was compelled to openly share my initial impression of her so I did. I simply told her, "Man...you are bourgeoisie". She did not take well to the veracity of my observation because she felt it was not applicable to her character. Unfortunately for her, she was in COMPLETE denial. While complaining to her girlfriends about my "incorrect" assessment of her demeanor they actual sided my observation...ha! After coming to grips with reality, our paths crossed again at the wedding and we just hung out the whole time with one another. We have been inseparable since our fateful meeting. I knew after our initial meeting Nicola was a special individual but I was in COMPLETE denial of just how special she was to me. I came to my senses and solidified my bountiful future by proposing to Nicola 8/12/2018. Nicola has been a blessing in my life and I am eternally grateful for her.
