Lower Yough (LoYo)
This is one of the best class III rivers in the country. Seven class III rapids are within the first mile of the river. Nicky began his kayaking career here and considers it one of his "home" rivers. There are many rafting companies in Ohiopyle and you can self-guide a raft on this river. Wilderness Voyagers is the preferred outfitter for kayaks and rafts, however we get a discount through Whitewater Adventures. The river is very safe however there is a few spots on the river that are dangerous and should be taken seriously! Challenge by choice.
Great Allegheny Passage
The GAP is a rail to trail bike path that goes all the way to DC from PGH and through the Laurel Highlands. Pick it up in Ohiopyle and ride south (upstream) to Confluence or north (downstream) to Connellsville. The most beautiful trail you'll ever ride.

Fallingwater
Frank Lloyd Wright's magnum opus. A wonderful tour and fantastic experience. Visit during the rain for bonus points to see how the site integrates water.
Kentuck Knob
Another Frank Lloyd Wright. This piece of architecture was designed and crafted later in his career. The craftsmanship and functionality of this home are of noticeably higher quality than Fallingwater. It is the sleeper pick of Frank Lloyd Wright's designs and is a must-see. This is the house you'd want to live in!
Cucumber Falls
A quick (<5 min), off the road hike to a waterfall.
Baughman Trail and Sugarloaf Trail Loop
One of the harder hikes in the area but has a great pay off to a nice vista. Can be muddy. Trailhead is on the GAP but you can also drive to the overlook.
Jonathan Run Falls via Jonathan Run Trail
Easy hike to another set of falls. Lil woodland paradise. Can access it from the GAP or from the trailhead off of Holland Hill Rd.
Great Gorge, Great Allegheny Passage Loop
An easy hike around the Loop. Stops at the Cucumber Falls, Ohiopyle Falls, and hikes around the rim. 2.8 miles. Technically, the trailhead is at the Cucumber Falls Parking but you can pick it up anywhere.
Meadow Run Trail
Meadow Run is a creek that runs during times of high flows. Check out the cascades and the slides!
