Nicki and Dylan each found themselves at a country bar (Westwood) in San Francisco, when Nicki decided to ride the mechanical bull. But oh no, she got bucked off pretty badly! *Enters Dylan to come in, save the day, and introduce himself ** Ahww 🥹 Okay, that did happen (on date # 5) but it's not quite how Nicki and Dylan first met lol. As post-COVID millennials in their late 20s would do, Nicki and Dylan matched on Hinge. The first few dates were amazing! First was a Wine & Cheese bar in the Marina district of San Francisco, which Dylan planned two weeks in advance because he was furiously working to get his MBA while working full time, so free time was very hard to come by. After tearing up over a hot shishito pepper 🌶️ (Nicki does not have the highest spice tolerance 🤣), the conversation started flowing and the rest was history. 💘🥰 Date #2 was a nice Italian dinner, date #3 was a Giants game, date #4 was a boat ride in the San Francisco Bay to watch the blue angels fly during Fleet Week, and date #5 was the mechanical bull followed by a rooftop hangout where Dylan asked Nicki to be his girlfriend. See, there's that mechanical bull coming back full circle here! From the first date mid-Sept 2021, to the boyfriend/girlfriend mechanical bull date Oct 2nd, to meeting Dylan's family in Seattle and Nicki's family in Gilroy, it's been an amazing journey. The two of them have a lot of shared interests including careers in sales at tech companies, a love of skiing/snowboarding, faith, and appreciation for San Francisco cuisine. The travel destinations they visited early on included going to LA for Dylan's MBA graduation from USC (fight on!), Texas for Nicki's friend Kara's wedding where Dylan got to meet all of Nicki's college friends, Hawaii, Utah, North Carolina, etc. Keeping the momentum of travel plans and building shared memories, Nicki and Dylan planned a Euro trip in March 2023 which is where Dylan popped the question! After eating plenty of cheese fondu in Switzerland, flying over the alps to Italy and driving to Tuscany, Dylan proposed which is the picture you see above. It was the best day of Nicki's life. 🥹 He even had flowers delivered to the winery they went to afterwards, which was no easy feat to accomplish! (Turns out, Italian flower shops tend to take most orders in Italian not English.. 😅) 🌹 Just a reflection of how wonderful this man really is.. now you probably know who wrote this hehe.
