We recommend packing: • Imodium (anti-diarrheal) – just in case your stomach isn’t used to West African spices and water • Activated charcoal or Pepto-Bismol • Electrolyte packets (like Liquid I.V. or Pedialyte powder). Local pharmacies in Ghana also carry these items • Bug spray with DEET • Allergy meds and pain relievers • Any personal prescriptions you need (in original containers)

We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. Kids are permitted at the Traditional wedding.

Ghana uses the Ghanaian Cedi (GHS). Bring USD in cash to exchange. Most establishments take cards, but many small local businesses are cash-only. Let your bank know you’re traveling!
Depending on your phone plan and coverage, your phone will work in Ghana. If your phone plan does not include international travel, we recommend bringing an unlocked phone and purchasing a local SIM card (MTN or Vodafone) at the airport. Wi-Fi is available in most hotels and cafés.
