Just outside of town (15 minutes), this stunning vineyard offers wine tastings, lavender fields, olive groves, and beautiful countryside views. A perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon in San Miguel.
A natural hot springs retreat featuring thermal pools, a cave grotto, a spa, and a restaurant. It’s about 15-20 minutes from the center of San Miguel and is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 7 am to 5 pm, with an entry fee of approximately 250 MXN per person.
Spend an afternoon exploring its galleries, open studios, and walkways filled with paintings, antiques, books, and sculptures. You might meet artists at work, share ideas over coffee in a charming café, or simply watch as bold brushstrokes bring new masterpieces to life.
Mercado de Artesanias (The Artisan Market) is open daily from 9am until 7pm. Each stall is overflowing with unique, handmade items. From handcrafted hummingbirds made of beads to Oaxacan wool rugs to hand-woven handbags, everyone is sure to find something that speaks to them. There are plenty of food vendors around the area as well for when you need some shopping fuel.
Sense is inspired by San Miguel de Allende's positive energy and Mexican healing traditions with indigenous ingredients. Rosewood also offers short-term gym memberships, including access to their pool and tennis courts.
The El Nigromante Cultural Center is a cultural venue that belongs to the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA). It is housed in a historic building constructed in 1755 as a convent for the Conceptionist nuns. Later, it became a fine arts school that attracted many renowned artists, such as David Alfaro Siqueiros, Eleanor Cohen, and Pedro Martinez. You can visit the center and admire the murals that adorn its walls, such as El fanatismo del pueblo by Pedro Martinez, Los lavadores by Eleanor Cohen, and Vida y obra del general Ignacio de Allende by Siqueiros.
