Elevated/Formal Cocktail attire. We interpret this to mean a suit and tie for men, and a jumpsuit or dress for women.

Which area should I stay in Melbourne?
Answer
We live in an area called Middle Park, which is conveniently located in between the beach and Albert Park (where the Australian Grand Prix Formula 1 event takes place). This area is primarily residential, and would be ideal if you have a rental car, as parking is easier. There is also ample access to trams that take you directly into the City! We'd recommend looking for an airbnb or hotel in this area (or Albert Park) if you have a rental car, and would like to be near us for your time in the City. Rachel's family will be staying in this area for the week leading up to the wedding. City Centre (CBD) and Southbank We'd recommend staying in the CBD or Southbank (south side of the Yarra River) if you are interested in being in the thick of things and plan to use public transportation. There is a lot to see in the City- with great shops, coffee, and dining! We have heaps of recommendations in the "things to do section" of the website. From the CBD, you can explore the surrounding suburbs in any direction. If you only have a few days in Melbourne, we'd recommend this option. Carlton/Collingwood If you'd like to see a different side of Melbourne that's more quirky, these two suburbs would be a great choice! Public transportation options are accessible from this area, and you will see a lot of the unique shops, restaurants, bars etc.

How do I get from Melbourne Airport (MEL) to the City?
Answer
The most common ways would be by renting a car and driving in, or taking a taxi or Uber. The drive will take about 25 minutes. There is also a public transportation option, which is the double decker "Skybus" that you can catch at the airport. This takes you directly to the city centre, and from there you can take a train or tram to where you need to go. You can purchase a ticket when you land or ahead of time, and the cost is approx. How do I get from Melbourne to the Yarra Valley (wedding location)?
Answer
This simplest way is to rent a car. Public transportation will not take you directly to the wedding hotels. Additionally, having a car will allow you to explore the Yarra Valley area while you are there. If you are not comfortable renting a car and driving in the City, we recommend the following: -Rely on public transportation/uber for your time in the city. Then, pick up a rental car when you are ready to head out the Yarra Valley -Let us know if you need a lift up there, and we can look into pairing you up with an Australian/Melbourne based car going up. -Organise a private transfer to your hotel in the Yarra Valley. We are currently looking into companies to recommend for this option, stay tuned.

Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate children that are listed on the invitation. Please check you invitation when they are sent out.
