Faith and I met our Freshman year of College at the University of Oklahoma. We became friends during our involvement in the Freshman Action Team. Faith has always been a supportive friend whether that meant acting as a widow in a mock trial when I was in law school (she wore all black and pretended to cry on the witness stand) or having my back no questions asked during one of our trips to Texas Relays (Sophomore year in college was rough ya'll). Either way, Faith has been a true friend through and through and without her I know my life would be a lot less fun.
Shanel Norwood

Shanel and I met our Freshman year at the University of Oklahoma. During college, I would oftentimes find myself at Shanel's apartment, probably because she knew how to cook, but also for silly games (Sleepers), dance competitions, and just great conversations. No matter where Shanel moved, we all seemed to follow. Shanel is naturally a nurturer and kind hearted, but she will get you in line if necessary. Shanel is also my sorority sister and was initiated into the Kappa Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Fall ‘05.
Lauren Quinn

Lauren and I met our Freshman year of College at the University of Oklahoma. We joke that although we met our Freshman year, we did not become friends until our Sophomore year. Lauren is the level-headed/reasonable friend that knows how to have a good time without getting too involved in the rest of the group's foolish behavior. Lauren and I were roommates our Senior year of college. Although neither of us really knew how to cook, our love for paying our bills on time and watching Designing Women made us a perfect match. Lauren is also my sorority sister. She was initiated into the Kappa Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Fall ‘05.

I met Nataria at the University of Oklahoma. Nataria is my Line Sister, Kappa Psi, Spring 04'. One of my favorite memories of Nataria is when she and I drove from Norman to the University of Central Oklahoma for a party. We talked, sang and laughed the entire 45 minute drive. I honestly did not need to go into the party because I was having so much fun in the car. Nataria is funny, loyal and I know she is genuinely happy for Nick and I. I am grateful for her unwavering support and I am excited to have her be a part of this special time in my life.

Kesha and I met our Freshman year of High School at a track meet. Three years later we became friends because we both ran summer track before our senior year. After 20 years of friendship, what I can say about Kesha without a doubt is that she is loyal and she always keeps a smile on her face. One of my favorite memories of Kesha is visiting her for Howard's homecoming. We had so much fun, the stepshow, fashion show, seeing AJ and Free on the yard and the parties... Good times! Kesha is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Shout out to the Alpha Chapter!

Lauren and I met our Freshman year of College at the University of Oklahoma. Our sophomore year, Lauren lived down the hall from me in the Walker Tower dorms. A few of us were planning to go to Atlanta for Spring Break and Lauren happened to walk down to my room during our conversation. Being polite, I invited her on the trip, never thinking she would actually come. Well she did, and the rest is history and we've been friends ever since. Lauren is also the deuce of our line, Trepidation, Kappa Psi, Spring ‘04.
Tranae Gaston

Tranae is my sister. One of my favorite memories is when Tranae came to visit us in New Mexico and she let me listen to her and her friends sing on a cassette tape (Yep, I'm that old). They sounded amazing, I was so excited that my sister could really sing. Fast forward a few years later, I discovered that it wasn't my sister and her friends singing, but a little known group called SWV....(Don't blame me, blame my parents, we didn't have BET in NM). Either way, I'm excited to share this day with my one and only sister!
Jessica Sepulveda

Jessica and I met our 1L year of law school at Thurgood Marshall School of Law. We were in the same section. The summer after our first year of law school, most people left Houston and went back home for the summer; however, Jessica and I stayed. When I tell you that Jessica dragged me to every bar, club and happy hour in the Inner Loop. That was the only time in my life that I knew the bouncers and could walk in the club/bar without showing my ID. Yep...we were those girls. We have had some amazing times and we have kept the party going for 14 years!
Marabeth Kellerman

Marabeth was my next door neighbor and childhood best friend when my family lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We played every game you could imagine, kick the can, sardines, ghost in the graveyard and hide from cars (it’s as simple as you can imagine). We also enjoyed making videos on my parent’s camcorder to MC Hammer’s Two Legit Two Quit and Addams Family. (Come on, it was the 90’s!) What I love about our relationship is that although I moved away when I was 12, we managed to maintain our friendship throughout the years. Whenever we talk its like we never missed a beat. There is no way I am getting married without my oldest friend!

London is my one and only niece. She loves to sing and dance and has all of the energy in the world. She is looking forward to getting her hair done and all dolled up for the wedding so all eyes can be on her! Thank you Keith and Chelsea for having a child that looks just like me because we know I birthed Nick’s twin.
Mark “Bizzle” Felder

Bizzle, my most talented friend, and I, met at 16 years old our sophomore year of high school. We lived in the same neighborhood and rode the same bus to school. After learning we shared the same interest in Nintendo 64 and PlayStation, we would spend a minimum of 3 hours a day playing 007 Goldeneye, Smash Brothers, Mario Kart & Tekken Tag. Nearly 21 years later, Bizzle is now married and a father of two sons, one of which is my Godson. He is one of the leading Christian rappers in the nation, and also the owner of God Over Money records. To say I am proud of his accomplishments would be an understatement.

I met Allen, the funniest person I know, sophomore year of high school. We lived 6 minutes from each other. If we weren’t at my house playing video games then we were at his house watching Dragon Ball Z. His entire family is the most welcoming family I’ve ever met. Allen is a loving father and committed to his family!

I met Cory in undergrad at PVAMU. The coolest person I have ever met and is the greatest roommate of all time! We were roommates in "Da Trailer" for six months and that was the best 6 months of my entire college career. Since college, I have had the honor of watching Cory develop his craft in photography and he is the owner of a successful black business. I am proud to call him my friend and I am honored to have him by my side during this milestone in my life.
Andre Evans

Andre, the smartest friend I have, and I, met at PVAMU. We were both members of the Campus Activity Board so we spent a significant amount of time together. Our friendship grew after we graduated college. One of my most memorable moments was sailing the Mediterranean Sea on the Celebrity Equinox with him and his wife, at the time girlfriend Gina. Like most group trips, several people were supposed to come but I ended up being a delightful third wheel. Andre is now an attorney, married, and a father of two. I highly admire him and his family. I know that I can tell Andre anything and he won't judge me or repeat what I say to someone else.

Tacho, my most resilient friend, and I met in undergrad at PVAMU where she was on a volleyball scholarship. She put the team on her back and brought PV a SWAC championship. Tacho is an amazing mother to Tyston and the coldest wing woman that ever lived!

Keith is Nichole's older brother. The years I've known Keith, he works hard to accomplish his goals and is a dedicated family man. He is admirable. I know how much Nichole loves her older brother so I am honored to have him as a groomsman!
Rook New

Rook is my nephew. I do not get a chance to see him as much as I would like because he lives in California, but when I do, I try to make the most of it. My main goal when I see Rook is to make him laugh. I have used some of my best material on him and he never cracks a smile. This particularly hurts because I see him laugh all the time at things that are not nearly as funny as my jokes. I plan on wearing him down by the wedding! I am so excited that my little nephew will be standing by my side on my big day!

From the first day we met we’ve been instant best friends. He taught me a lot about finances and helped me realize that taking an auto loan out for 17.95% interest was the worst thing I have ever done with my money (I’ll never accept that interest rate again). But after driving 300,000 miles all over the South without the engine or transmission going out, he’s overall one of the best friends I have ever made. (His Pic was taken the week we met in 2009)
