Explore- Beach Club- Sticco Mare
This is our favorite beach club in Trieste! It costs $15-$25 to rent chairs. This is a 15 minute taxi ride from Trieste, there are multiple taxi stands around the city. When you want to leave Sticco Mare, you can ask them to call you a cab.
Explore- Miramare Castle
Miramare Castle, or Castello di Miramare, is a stunning historical landmark located near Trieste, Italy. Overlooking the Gulf of Trieste, this 19th-century castle was built for Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria and his wife, Carlotta of Belgium. The castle was designed by the architect Carl Junker in a mix of Gothic Revival and Renaissance styles. This is a 20 minute drive from Trieste, you can arrive by taxi and have the museum call you a cab back to Trieste!
Explore- Muggia
Take a ferry from Trieste to have lunch and explore Muggia! An Italian town about 20 minutes from Trieste that borders Slovenia. The ferry leaves from the Marina (10 min walk from Piazza Unita) & costs $10 euro (tickets can be bought on the ferry). Once you get off the ferry, you can walk into town & have lunch at one of the charming restaurants on the water! Below is the schedule- the line is Trieste- Muggia. Explore- Sistiana
Take a ferry from Trieste to have lunch and explore Sistiana, IT! Bring a bathing suit & towel because there are great beach clubs in Sistiana. The ferry leaves from the Marina (10 min walk from Piazza Unita) & costs $10 euro (tickets can be bought on the ferry). Once you get off the ferry, you can walk left or right into town, where there are a ton of beach clubs and restaurants! Below is the schedule- the line is Trieste- Barcola- Grignano- Sistiana. Explore the ruins of this ancient structure and imagine what it would have been like in its prime.
