you were always worth the wait

When Nick & Lyndsey started the sixth grade, he asked her out. She said no, purely because she was ten, and not allowed to have a boyfriend. So in seventh grade, he asked again. She said no. When he asked her to go to the dance in eighth grade, she told him no again - but she would save him one dance. That dance, they stood at arm’s length, he didn’t say a word, and she talked the whole time. Two days later, she slipped him a note in class asking for his number. The two dated through all of high school and then survived 5 1/2 years of long distance as Lyndsey attended college in two different states. They are beyond excited to share the rest of their lives, and excited to share their wedding and love story with all of you!

In high school, Nick and Lyndsey would often pick up dinner and then hike to this lookout at Tehachapi Mountain Park for a picnic and to watch the sunset. Throughout the years, they have repeated this date when Lyndsey would come home from college. But this time, Lyndsey's sister hiked up ahead of them and captured the beautiful moment that Nick got down on a knee. Easy to say, it was a very emotional yes!
