Is there a postponement date?

Answer

In short, no. With so many unknowns and things rapidly changing with the pandemic, we don't know when we would safely be able to have the kind of wedding celebration we want. And although we are excited to celebrate our union with you, we don't want to wait any longer to get married! Our plan is to have an intimate ceremony with just our families on October 16th, and throw one hell of a party with you all as soon as it's safe to do so. Here's hoping for next year!

What's the deal with Linda/Lin/Linny/Elle?

Answer

It's pretty simple, guys :) Linda Duong is my birth name. When I asked my parents why they chose the name Linda, their response was, "Because it was easy to pronounce." "Lin" is just a diminutive, like Nick for Nicholas, Sam for Samantha, Jeff for Jeffrey. You get the point. Most people end up calling me this after getting to know me better. "Linny" is an extension of Lin, and was started by my dear friend Denise. It caught on. You'll hear my closest girlfriends call me this. So where the heck did 'Elle' come from? Well, Nick and I met on Tinder. Tinder connects to your Facebook. As a therapist, and also as someone who values their privacy, I've always had my handle on social media as "Elle Dee" as in LD, my initials. So when we met, Nick called me Elle ("L"). And even after I told him my real name on our first date, he continued to call me Elle, and referred to me as such with all his friends. I hope this cleared things up, feel free to call me any name you'd like :)
