This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Sarasota. On Saturday mornings there is the farmer's market, and it's within walking distance to all of the shops / restaurants downtown. A favorite of ours is O'Leary's Tiki Bar, just across the street and on the bay. Other fun bars/restaurants are Cask n Ale, Art Ovation rooftop, State Street, Brewsters, and a local classic- The Gator Club (good nightlife)! The rooms are standard, there is a rooftop pool and a fun bar downstairs. This is where Jane had her first job out of college, and her dad currently works! This hotel is closer to the highway, UTC shopping malls and breweries in town. It will be further from the venue, about a 25 minute drive. Around this hotel is near Big Top Brewery, our favorite - Cooper's Hawk, the University Town Center mall (lots of amazing shops) Paddywagon's Pub and Sarasota Food & Beer.
