It all started in Buffalo, NY, when Nick, a guy obsessed with the Buffalo Bills, could not pay attention during medical school. Lucky for him, Hillary, an art history major who loved school, sat in front of him taking notes like a stenographer. After a few weeks of interrupting her focus to copy her notes, the two decided that they should just study together. They spent the next year and a half eating countless sushi dinners in the library and complaining about their terrible dates, wondering when they would each finally meet their respective “ones”. Their friends were quick to realize that there was something more than an average friendship brewing, and although Nick and Hillary didn’t realize it at first, before long they realized that they shared the same love for food, travel, and trying new things. The rest, as they say, is history - so long as Nick withstands museum tours and Hillary can quietly sit through a quarter of a football game. Hillary and Nick began traveling the world together, from Toronto, to Italy, to Thailand and Vietnam, but nothing beat their weekend trips to Rochester: the place where Hillary’s aunt, uncle, and grandparents reminded them that medical school was temporary, home-cooked meals necessary, and time with family invaluable. Before they knew it, they were heading back to NYC to start their careers as doctors (yikes)! After Nick interrupted Hillary’s tour at the Frick to propose (a worthwhile interruption), they thought ‘what better place to get married than Rochester?’ So, join us!!
