FAQs

The answers your looking for (probably).
Question

Are children invited?

Answer

To ensure everyone's safety and peace of mind, we have arranged a professional childcare crew and a dedicated kids' suite within the castle where all children will stay to play during the celebration.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’ve hired amazing professional photographers to capture our special day, and we’d love for you to be fully present with us! We kindly ask that you keep your phones and cameras away during the ceremony at the church. We promise to share the professional photos with everyone afterward!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Aperitivo: Think "Golden Hour in Italy"—polished and chic, but totally relaxed. No need for ties or formal ceremony layers here; we want everyone feeling breezy and comfortable as we grab drinks and cicchetti. Wedding Ceremony: We request the honor of your presence in your best Formal attire. Out of respect for our Catholic ceremony at Parrocchia di San Mauro Abate in Rovarè, we kindly ask that your shoulders be covered while inside the church. Feel free to brighten the day with your favorite pastels!

Question

What time should I arrive at the church if I am not taking the shuttle?

Answer

Punctuality is very important for Italian Catholic ceremonies. Please aim to be seated at the church at least 15–20 minutes before the ceremony begins to ensure a smooth start.

Question

Is there a gap between the ceremony and the party?

Answer

No, guests will immediately be shuttled from the Church to the reception preceding the ceremony to enjoy cocktail hour.

Question

What should I expect at an Italian wedding meal?

Answer

Pace yourself! A traditional Italian wedding feast is a marathon, not a sprint, often featuring many courses. We suggest having a very light breakfast so you can enjoy every bite of the cicchetti, pasta, and mains.

Question

Do I need to learn Italian?

Answer

While many locals in Treviso speak English, a simple "Buongiorno" (Good morning) or "Grazie" (Thank you) goes a long way. If you’re feeling adventurous, try ordering your morning coffee as a "Caffè" (Espresso) like a local.

Question

Wedding Allergy & Dietary FAQ

Answer

I have a severe food allergy. Who should I notify? Your safety is our priority! Please reach out to Nick or Gabriella directly as soon as possible so we can coordinate with our catering team. Additionally, please make sure to inform the staff at the castle immediately upon your arrival so they can identify you during meal service. How will the wedding meals be handled? We are working closely with the chefs to ensure a variety of options. If you have already noted an allergy on your RSVP, the kitchen is aware, but a quick reminder to your server at the castle is always a great backup. Will there be options for common dietary restrictions (Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.)? Yes! We want everyone to enjoy the incredible Italian cuisine. If you didn't specify your needs on the RSVP, please message Nick or Gabriella so we can ensure there is a delicious alternative waiting for you. Is it safe to eat the local food in town if I have a nut or shellfish allergy? Italy is generally very accommodating with allergies (allergie). We recommend carrying an "allergy translation card" in Italian to show local restaurant staff, and as always, keep Nick or Gabriella in the loop if you have concerns about the wedding weekend menus. What if I have an emergency? The castle staff is trained in safety protocols, but please ensure you carry any necessary medication (like an EpiPen) with you at all times. Would you like me to include a few common Italian phrases for allergies that you can share with your guests?
