Sight-see on the dog walking route! Make sure you stop often to sniff everything. #1 Bootstrap Coffee - Excellent coffee, great people! Nick recommends the Featured Batch Brew; Erin recommends the chocolate croissants. They have a lovely patio. Not a coffee person? Walk across the street to Wabasha Brewery. #2 Harriet Island - Get a great view of downtown St. Paul and the Mississippi River. #3 Head up Ohio Street and the bluffs walking towards the High Bridge. You get gorgeous views of the city skyline, including the Capitol and the Cathedral (like the photo on the home page!) #4 If it's morning/lunch time, grab brunch at Capital View Cafe. If it's afternoon/evening, grab tacos from El Burrito Mercado or Taco House, and ice cream at Icy Cup.
Take a walking tour of our first dates <3 #1 Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska - Grab a beer at Bread & Pickle, listen to live music at the bandshell, take a walk or bike ride on the trails, and stop by the Rose Garden. Rent a paddleboard, kayak or canoe to enjoy the tour by water. #2 Bryant Lake Bowl - Beware: You must self-score! #3 Stella's Fish Cafe - Grab rooftop drinks at Stella's, the place where it all started! Stop and listen to the cover band to really get the full experience. #4 Uptown VFW - The bar where we had our first date closed, but the Uptown VFW is right next door and remains one of our late-night favorites. Go straight to the back and enjoy some of the best karaoke in town.
There are plenty of places on the St. Croix River where you can launch or rent a boat
A Steve McHenry favorite... Have a cold beer, maybe a vodka tonic!
