So what's this After Party?

We’ve gotten some questions, and realize in hindsight we weren’t clear about our intent for this piece (apologies!). Since nightlife is largely nonexistent on Kauai, we set this up as our solution for where to go *post* wedding, for those late-night guests who want to keep the party going. If you’re usually someone who goes out to a bar after a wedding reception—because you are just! not! ready! for the night to end—this event is for you. Think dancing, drinking, and late-night snacks. Could also be called: Club Brennecke's The Late-Late Party Hawaii Vibe-O etc. When the wedding comes to an end, our shuttles will take guests either home or to the after party, as they so choose. To get home from the after party, we'll have shuttles running on rotation throughout the duration of the event.

What's the wedding dress code?

Answer

BEACH COCKTAIL Not formal, not casual, somewhere in between that makes you feel ~chic~ but hopefully not sweaty (it'll likely be warm and humid). Think cocktail or flowy dresses for women, long-or-short sleeve button downs and slacks or nice shorts for men. Ladies, please note that the event will be held on grass, for those planning to wear heels. Lads, sandals are welcome if that's your preference (as long as you're ready to dance in them!).

Is there anything planned for Friday 9/6?

Nope! This is a free day—go see the island, lay by the pool, whatever a Kauai vacation means to you. See our To-Do tab for ideas. We personally will be finding zen and wrapping up loose ends before the big day.

Are kids invited?

Answer

POIPU BEACH DAY Yes! All ages welcome. THE WEDDING As much as we love them, children at an age requiring a babysitter when left alone will need to be set up with one for the wedding. We were very thoughtful about this decision, and kindly ask your respect and support in having those kiddos sit out this event. There are some professional babysitting services on-island that you could explore, such as Kauai Babysitting Company and ChildCare Kauai. We will let you look into these options, or set up another situation that makes sense for you and your family. AFTER PARTY No; this is a 21+ event.

Because we don't have your email! We've been working to collect everyone's contact info, but for a party of this size, it's proving pretty tricky. Will I receive an additional invitation to the one I already got?

Also nope! The first thing we sent you was your invitation, as well as your "Save the Date." (Zola just didn't allow us to send digital invitations, and we wanted to provide you plenty of time to RSVP, so we elected to combine them into one.)
