Visit these beautiful parks while you're here! Storyland in City Park is an amusement park that could be fun to take kids to!
French Quarter
Stroll the streets of the French Quarter, check out some music by Jackson Square or in front of Rouses (on Royal and St Peter), visit the Royal Street galleries, Cafe Beignet or Cafe du Monde for some beignets, sit by the Mississippi river or walk to river trail, get lost in New Orleans beauty! Some of our favorite spots in the quarter are: Bars - Chart Room, Cosimo's, Royal St Bar (near Frenchmen St), Lafitte's Blacksmith Bar, Molly's at the Market (best frozen irish coffee), Pat O'Brien's (if you want a hurricane) Food - MRB, Erin Rose (Killer Poboys in the back), French Market (can try lots of New Orleans staples!), Coop's Place Activities - Bad Bitches Ghost Tour, Muriel's (seance room upstairs), Jackson Square, Congo Square in Louis Armstrong park, Voodoo Museum, Mardi Gras Costume Museum
Frenchmen Street
See some music on Frenchmen Street! Our favorite venues you can pop into are: Spotted Cat, Royal Frenchmen Hotel, Blue Nile Balcony (upstairs), Cafe Negril Catch the night art market Thurs-Sun, Brieux Carre is a good brewery there, Dat Dog is a hot dog spot there (dare you to try the gator dog!)
Marigny/Bywater Neighborhood

Bayou St John Neighborhood
Stroll the bayou (starts on Lafitte Ave and Moss St or visit by City Park's Big Lake), visit City Park's Cafe du Monde (less busy than the French Quarter one), stop by Liuzza's by the Track (for a bbq shrimp poboy or gumbo) or Addis for some Ethiopian food, visit our neighborhood bars like Pal's Lounge, Bayou Beer/Wine Garden, or Second Line brewery, stop by Thursday's farmer's market by the bayou. This is the neighborhood we live in and love dearly!
