Van Sickle Bi-State Park
One of our absolute favorite hikes in Tahoe. We usually venture out here at least once each time we visit! Also a great opportunity to be in two places at once as the California/Nevada state line runs right through the hike! If you’re willing to put in the work, there is a beautiful little waterfall about a 30 minute hike up the mountain. Not to mention the stunning views of the lake!
Heavenly Gondola
During the summer, you can pay to take the gondola up the mountain where there are more hikes. One of our favorites things to do up there is to ride the Heavenly Ridge Rider Mountain Coaster which is so fun, fast, and gives views of the lake! There is also zip-lining, rock climbing, and even more beautiful hikes. This one is a can’t miss if you can swing it.
Zephyr Cove
If you want to check out where we did our Engagement Shoot, this place is a can’t miss. Amazing spot to check out the sunset, but make sure you get there early to get ahead of the crowd.
Emerald Bay State Park
A treasured spot in Tahoe for our family 💚 A little hike (0.8 mile) gives you a beautiful view of Emerald Bay and takes you to the beach for a swim. There’s even a small island that you can kayak or paddle board to for even more fun or visit the Historic landmark of Vikingsholm.
Fallen Leaf Lake
A short drive to some sweet waterfalls. It’s all about the views and vibes here.
Secret Cove Nude Beach
For our more adventurous friends and family members… Just make sure your parents don’t decide to visit before taking your top off! Haha. And no, we don’t have pics from our visit!
Tahoe Sports Ski Run Boat Company
For those wanting to get on the lake, look into renting a boat, jet ski, paddle board or kayak for more exploring and fun!
