Hannah Imson

Maid of Honor

I met Hannah in the 4th grade. With her short hair (I'm talking BOWL CUT), I swear her first words to me were, "Don't worry! I'm a girl!" But she has apparently erased that from her memory. There were years where we spent literally every day together, walking to school together (actually, more like running to school because Hannah always overslept) and spending long weekend days doing youth group activities. If you look closely at any of our family pictures from our school years, you'll see her in mine and me in hers. Hannah has taught me the value of trying new things and pushing yourself past your comfort zone. She's chased everything she's wanted with a fierceness (and maybe a little confusion... classic Hannah). Even though she's Doctor Hannah Imson now, when we're together, we're just the little girls we used to be.

Ryan Mundy

Best Man

I met Ryan in 3rd grade on the football field, and from the very first time I met him I knew he would be my best friend. I've never seen someone walk into a room and light up a room like he does - the way Ryan can make a genuine connection with you and hold a conversation for hours is a very particular skill that not many have. Ryan has been with me through my ups and downs and had always reminded me of who I am, and where I came from, and to never give up. Even though I moved away after college, every time I see him it's like I never left. I'll never forget all of our Dave Matthews concerts and all of our amazing vacations with our families. Ryan Mundy you're my best friend and it's an absolute honor to call you my best man.

Vanessa Estoesta-Buen

Matron of Honor

Vanessa is my oldest friend, having been in each other's lives since we were six years old! Once upon a time, she was much taller than me but I think she stopped growing in middle school - lol! I could not imagine life without Vanessa. We've been through all seasons of life together and spent a lot of that time just laughing - mostly at the random things that come out of her mouth. From being caught by the police out past curfew (I swear that praying the rosary protected us from getting arrested) to watching her become the most amazing, supportive mother to her four kids, I'm so lucky to have her!

Dakota Schlater

Groomsman

I met Dakota in college through Danny and Ryan. From the very first day I met him, I felt as if I had known him my whole life. I have never connected with someone so quickly before. He is one of the most driven, intelligent, and caring individuals I have ever met. Whether I was in Happy Valley, down South in Hilton Head, or on the West Coast in San Diego, Dakota always made an effort to come out and visit me, ensuring I was doing alright. I always enjoy our conversations, whether we're talking about sports, work, or life. I truly believe our friendship was meant to be.

Ada Quiambao

Bridesmaid

Ada was the first of my friends to hear about a boy named Nick. She had my location on Find my Friends just in case he turned out to be a creep. Good thing she didn't have to swoop in to save me! I remember crawling into her bed after one of my first dates with Nick and whispering, "I really like this guy!" My twenties would not have been the same without Ada - chasing down our travel, concert, and food dreams. She taught me that if there's a will, there's a way. We want cool pictures from the top of a cliff of the Na Pali coast? We can do it - we just have to drive one hour up to the trailhead and hike 6 miles through the mud. And we did! Thanks for encouraging me to be adventurous!

Kenny Baines

Groomsman

I met Kenny during my freshman year on the football field, and the first thing that stood out to me was his laugh—when you hear it, you’ll understand. From that point on, we were inseparable. But, our best times together weren't spent going out or partying. The moments I cherished most with Kenny involved grinding away, working out. Whether it was football or basketball, we would sneak into East and Henderson late at night, sometimes as late as 2:00 in the morning. We’d run suicides, lift weights, and shoot threes. Kenny focused on perfecting his footwork, and whatever we did, we did it together. We pushed each other to improve, not just as athletes, but to prepare ourselves for life. For that, Kenny, it’s an honor to have you as a groomsman.

Maile Dietz

Bridesmaid

If "live your life to the fullest" was a person, it would be Maile. My favorite thing about her is her amazing comedic timing and her knack of making me laugh until I have to pee (even in our friend's backyard). Even though our jobs as nurses can be really crazy hectic sometimes, she is a bright spot of sunshine. We've held hands (accidentally when we meant to be holding the patient down) and she's dodged literal poop because of me, but we've had a blast through it all. Love you Maile Mae! Thanks for being unapologetically you.

Danny Mattern

Groomsman

I knew Danny throughout high school, but we really grew close in college and after graduation. Whether he was visiting me at college or going out in West Chester, some of my most enjoyable and funniest moments have been with Danny. One unforgettable weekend was when he visited me during my first year in San Diego. I’ll always remember that Sunday morning when Danny was on the phone with my landlord, helping me avoid a noise complaint. Thanks to him, I was never charged for that complaint, and I will forever be grateful. Thank you for being one of the funniest people I know.

Kelly Merkley

Bridesmaid

One random night shift, I was fighting for my life to stay awake when Kelly walked into my life. And thank God she did! She is someone I know I can always go to when I need support. She is one of my biggest cheerleaders and doesn't judge me when I need an outlet for all the jumbled thoughts that run through my head. My favorite thing about Kelly is her way of making you feel so cared for and understood - also a big fan of her beautiful smile. We share a love for dogs, wine, and cute little babies - all the good things in life.

Gabriele Guarnaccia

Groomsman

I met Gab at the gym. I remember looking over at the leg press and seeing eight plates on each side, thinking how impressive that was. Suddenly, he approached me and asked for a spot. Seizing the opportunity, I invited myself to work out with him. He quickly agreed, asking what time worked for me. I also learned that Gab is from Italy, and just like that, I found my new best friend in San Diego. Gab's friendship and his intense workout program have transformed me into a person I only dreamed of becoming. Having someone push you to your physical limits every day can greatly benefit you mentally as well. I am so thankful for his friendship.

Michelle Alvarez

Bridesmaid

Michelle and I met in 2017. I randomly reached out to her on a Facebook group filled with new graduate nurses trying to land our dream jobs - didn't realize I'd be landing a friend for life. I would say that Michelle and I are kindred spirits. No hate to Taylor Swift, but when Michelle and I found ourselves in a party bus full of people blasting T. Swift, we made eye contact and just knew - we needed hip hop. She always gently brings me back to reality and is always down for a Taco Bell run. She is someone who fiercely protects her loved ones (she would most definitely be who I call for backup if I ever got into a fight). Although she's moved around the country, I know that when we get together, it's like old times. I'm so thankful to be a witness to her beautiful life.

Michael Scotese Jr.

Groomsman

Mike is my older brother, and he’s someone I truly look up to. Growing up, I always knew I would have big shoes to fill. I felt pretty confident in my athletic abilities, but when it came to navigating life, I must admit I was both worried and motivated. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to live up to the expectations of being the youngest Scotese. Watching him navigate life has taught me a lot. I had the opportunity to ask him questions about various aspects of life, whether it was financial decisions or career choices. He was always brutally honest with me. I'm truly grateful to have such a financially savvy and loving brother. It’s an honor not only to call you my brother but also to have you as a groomsman. Thank you for being there for me!
