We're getting married!

It all started when our mutual friend sent a Snapchat of us to Nick. A week later, he messaged me on Instagram, and as they say, the rest is history. We messaged back and forth for about a week, then I went to his place for dinner - he was planning to cook for me, however, that ended up not working out as planned. We ordered sushi instead and talked the night away before watching Top Gun. Two nights later, he made it up to me and had me over for dinner again, this time he made steak with asparagus and mac and cheese. Of course, we then had to watch Top Gun: Maverick. Just over a week later he asked me to be his girlfriend. It was Christmas night, and after dinner, we were all opening presents. My parents and Oma were there. Nick told me to open his gift next. It was a card and a journal. In the card, he wrote, "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" As I read the card, he stood up, turned to me, knelt to one knee, and pulled out a ring. He said something I don't remember, I was in shock and completely unexpecting it, but I loved it. He talked to my dad about it and asked his permission the week prior, but never told anyone when he was going to do it -Britt
