Question

Location Details/Parking

Answer

The Grant Pavilion is on the "Secchia Meadows" area of Millenium Park, which is on the opposite side of Maynard Ave from the main park side (so you'll want to turn East off of Maynard). There is ample parking just in front of the pavilion, which is paved, so drive all the way back to the pavilion before parking. There are parking areas closer to Maynard for hikers and park-goers, but there's parking further in, which are intended for Grant Pavilion guests. The pavilion has bathrooms just next to it (50 yards away, to be exact), which are also on paved ground, level with the pavilion - so no bathroom expeditions required.

Question

Dress Code

Answer

This party is at a park and involves yard games and a food truck - we want you to be comfortable and casual. Wear a sun or maxi dress, slacks and a polo, jean shorts and a tank top, or cargo shorts and a t-shirt. The important thing is that you are THERE and dressed appropriately enough to be out in public :)

Question

This is a long party...

Answer

Yes, the party is scheduled for 1-9pm, but you can come and go as you please. Open-house style, come early and leave after dinner, come for dinner and stay for dancing, or be around for the whole thing - it is entirely up to you! There will be no wedding ceremony or other "official events" happening, just a fun day at the park with games, music, food and beverages.

Question

Draaanks

Answer

Only beer and wine are allowed at the venue, please respect this rule so you don't get us into trouble. We will be providing some beer and wine options in a self-serve fashion - again - be smart and respectful so you don't get us into trouble. Feel free to bring your own beer or wine too, if you wish. We will of course also have non-alcoholic options available as well, and you're welcome to bring your own of these varieties too! Drink responsibly, drive safely.

Question

Party Pooper

Answer

9 o'clock needs to be our end time - because that is Nick and Becca's bedtime - but also, we have to be fully packed up and cleared out by 10! So if you're still around past 9pm, you will be tasked with helping pack up or kicking out the non-helpful-stragglers.
