Ann Arbor. Spring 2009. After a long evening of dedicated studying, Nick reluctantly entered the house party at 923 State St. All regrets of ill-decisions went back out the door, though, as he spotted a beautiful blonde-haired, pink-coated Becca standing halfway up the staircase. He immediately (and probably awkwardly) stepped up the stairs to introduce himself. The rest, as they say, is history. Their first official date was at Becca's Pi Phi barn dance. Nick's first visit to the U.P. was filled with boating and bourbon - "they threw the whiskey cap into the woods, I might need help". Becca's first visit to Nebraska was filled with golf and good wine - "wow, they really do like wine". They were both immediately welcomed into each other's families without hesitation. Since then, Becca and Nick have walked, run, marathon’d, hiked, sailed, golfed, fished, sky-dived, binge-watched, sushi-ordered, wine-tasted, binge-watched again, newf adopted, de-slobbered, relocated, engineered, and sutured themselves through an unforgettable ten years together before Nick finally got his act together and asked Becca to marry him! We’re so excited to celebrate with friends and family all of these special moments that brought us together, and to look ahead to all the special moments yet to come as husband and wife!
