All of our wedding activities will be outdoors, including Friday's welcome drinks and Saturday's ceremony, dinner, and reception, weather permitting.
While the Ritz Carlton Beach Club is adjacent to the beach, our ceremony and reception will take place on the property, not the beach itself. No need to worry about sand or waves :)
We highly recommend staying in downtown Sarasota at one of our hotel recommendations, especially if you will not be renting a car. While uber/ lyft exists in Sarasota, it can be limited with long wait times. Downtown is very walkable and has everything you'd need, and we'll have a shuttle to get from downtown to our wedding. We've secured room blocks at great rates at 3 downtown hotels: The Embassy Suites, The Aloft, and Hotel Indigo - see the travel page for details.
For wedding day shuttle service, meet in the lobby of the Embassy Suites or Aloft hotels by 2:20pm. Shuttles will be *leaving* promptly at 2:30pm sharp. Shuttles will go directly to the afterparty and back to Embassy Suites and Aloft after the reception concludes.
We highly recommend taking the wedding day shuttles from our downtown room blocks to the venue (additional details to come closer to the date). You can also drive directly to the Ritz Beach Club on Lido Key if needed, but we recommend taking the shuttle to avoid traffic and parking fees. For wedding day shuttle service, meet in the lobby of the Embassy Suites or Aloft hotels by 2:20pm. Shuttles will be *leaving* promptly at 2:30pm sharp.
Given the setting and nature of our event, we respectfully request no children. If you need help finding a sitter for the night in the area - please reach out to us! We have some known and trusted recommendations.
Wedding - Formal! We won't be on the beach itself, so no need to worry about sand or waves. For men - dark suits and ties. For women - cocktail, midi, or long dresses. It may get a bit chilly after sunset, so a wrap or jacket is recommended just to be safe. Welcome reception - upscale casual/ resort casual. for women - dresses or jumpsuits. for men - dark jeans, slacks, button downs, or shirts and blazers (no sneakers please). it can get windy and a bit chilly on the rooftop, so bring a jacket or sweater.
We'll have a full open bar until 9:30pm (liquor, beer, and wine) along with a couple very light snacks for munching. We recommend eating dinner before this.
For dinner - we like 1592, Flavios, and The Bodhi Tree. For breakfast/ brunch - State Street is a great option. For bars - the Westin has a beautiful rooftop or Bridges at the Embassy Suites has incredible views.
