Things To Do

Estes Park has something for everyone - the adventurers and the not so outdoorsy- these are a few things we recommend.

Rocky Mountain National Park

CO

Time entry permit is required to enter the park. To purchase your entry permit, visit the Rocky Mountain National Park website (its worth the views).

Downtown Estes Park

Elkhorn Ave, Estes Park, CO 80517

Downtown Estes is full of neat shops, restaurants, and galleries. If you have spare time, we recommend taking an afternoon stroll through downtown - check out the Taffy Shop, the Beef Jerky Experience, and the Sandwich Mafia (its a dive, but the pizza is delicious)!

The Stanley Hotel

333 East Wonderview Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

The famous Stanley Hotel is known for being the inspiration for Stephen King's book, The Shining. It is frequently cited as one of America's most haunted hotels, featuring night tours and reports of ghosts in the Concert Hall, 4th floor, and room 418.

Rapid Transit Rafting

161 Virginia Drive, Estes Park, CO 80517

For those with time to kill looking for a little more adventure, rapid transit rafting offers full and half day rafting trips. Book early, and plan ahead for these as availability may be limited.

Mountain Blown Glass

101 West Elkhorn Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

This small, family owned shop offers unique gifts, glass art, and on-site demonstrations.

Wildside 4x4 Tours

212 East Elkhorn Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

If hiking isn't your thing, Wildside offers 4x4 Jeep tours. Experience rock crawling, wildlife, waterfalls, and lakes. These tours generally last 3-4 hours.

Coffee on the Rocks

510 Moraine Avenue, Estes Park, CO 80517

Enjoy coffee or tea at a table down by the river. This is also a popular place to feed geese and ducks!
