The First Day

March 14, 2020

After swiping right on Bumble, Nick invited Alisha for drinks at King's Ransom in Old Town Alexandria. Alisha couldn't find the location and called Nick. It was the first time he gave her directions. Once she managed to find him, they instantly connected and talked for (4!) hours. By the end of the evening, rain had started and Alisha tentatively asked Nick for a ride home. Nick dropped her off safely and bid her goodnight, both already excited for their next date.

The Yes Day

September 24, 2021

In fall of 2020, Alisha’s Dad created a goal to hike to the peak of Old Rag (a coworker told him that he couldn’t do it). He asked Alisha and Nick for help achieving this goal and they spent the past year going on increasingly strenuous hikes with him. On September 24, 2021 it was finally THE day. Unbeknownst to Alisha and her Dad, Nick stowed away a surprise in his backpack before they started the trek. About four miles into the 9.5 mile hike, they made it to the summit! They took some pictures and celebrated Alisha’s Dad’s accomplishment and then Nick encouraged Alisha to enjoy the view. Nick gave his camera to Alisha’s Dad and then knelt down next to her and tried to say something. He was overcome with emotion. Alisha looked at him, looked down at the ring box in his hand, and gave him a kiss for courage. Nick told her how much he loved her and what their time together has meant to him, and asked her to marry him. She said yes!

The Best Day

September 24, 2022

Nick and Alisha cannot wait to celebrate their love with you! When they sat down to plan their wedding, they discussed the elements most important to them. After getting married to each other, being with friends and family was the thing that mattered most!
