Shout out to God! He saw two lonely hearts and tied them together. I, Elizabeth, had gotten a gift subscription to eHarmony (shout out to eHarmony!), and I was not too invested in finding anyone. Jon was also on eHarmony, but only after a loss in his family did he want to start his own. Cue my (Elizabeth's) big fat thumbs- I went to click "read more" and hit the LIKE button! Never have I prayed so hard and fast for this man not to be a creeper but to be the one my soul longed for. We met in November of 2023 and have yet to be apart! Jon took me to Starbucks (shout out to Starbucks!) for our first date. I forgot to tell him that I don't like coffee (anymore), I detest carmel, and I'm lactose intolerant.... the man was so lovely, he ordered a venti carmel frappachino for me and... well milk + my stomach makes for a stinky situation.... GOOD THING JON DIDN'T MIND! We talked until Starbucks closed for the night, and then I said, "Hey! You want to meet my nana???" I invited him back to my house, where we watched a War Movie and ended the night with our first kiss under the mistletoe. I had been hinting that Jon would kiss me, but he was scared! We kissed under the mistletoe, Jon pulls away and tells me he loves me. Time stood still for him (as he claims), awaiting me to respond... I said, "I LOVE YOU TOO!!!!!" Then we joked about practicing karate in the garage! On April 7, 2024, Jon asked me to marry him at that same Starbucks! Easiest "yes" of my life!!!! We are now counting down until August of 2025 to get married. God has been an instrumental part of our journey, and we owe Him all the glory!!!! And, if you are curious as to why we are "waiting so long," Jon is super close to finishing his Associate's degree, and I am super close to finishing my teaching credential for ASL! Lord willing, we will both be graduates with careers and a place to live as we start the journey of being Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Bealsey. Thank you for reading this!!! LOTS OF LOVE FROM THE FUTURE BEASLEY FAMILY!
