Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is the main airport and about a 30–45 minute drive from Kirkland, depending on traffic. Paine Field (PAE) regional airport in Everett may be available to some routes as well.

Getting Around

Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) Rideshare is widely available throughout the Seattle area and Eastside. It’s generally fast and reliable—even for longer trips or more remote locations. We regularly use rideshare for trips between Kirkland and downtown Seattle (about 45 minutes) without any issues. That said, rideshare here can be more expensive than in other cities, especially during peak times. Cars & Rentals Kirkland and the Eastside are more suburban, so having a car makes getting around much easier. If you plan to explore beyond your hotel or travel between neighborhoods, we recommend renting a car. Traffic Traffic can be heavy during weekday rush hours (roughly 7–10am and 3–7pm). If you’re planning activities or rides during those windows, allow extra time.
