FAQs

Question

What's the venue like?

Answer

Imperia Lake Union is a historical building in Lake Union, just south of the Fremont Bridge. It's got a 1920's gilded vibe. It's climate controlled and our entire night will be held inside.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes, children are welcome! Please note that we will be planning to shift the music style and amp up the volume later in the night, at which point you may want to consider putting kiddos to bed.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The suggested attire is semi-formal to formal. Dresses should be at least longer than cocktail length. If you want to go full formal and wear a ballgown, you totally can! Suits or tuxes should be in a dark color (navy, black, charcoal) with a tie or bowtie. You do NOT have to wear clothes that match our color palette. The most important thing to us is that you wear something you LOVE. Don't feel obligated to buy something new just for us. And come prepared to dance!

Question

What's the color palette?

Answer

Loosely defined as "jewel tones", the primary colors are emerald and burgundy. Navy, sapphire, ruby, and deep purples are also welcome!

Question

Can I take photos during the event?

Answer

We kindly ask that you are fully unplugged (phone off or at least silenced and left in a purse/pocket) during our ceremony to allow our photographer to do their best work. You can take as many pictures and videos as you want after the ceremony ends.

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

Please do not feel obligated to give us any gifts. We value your presence over presents. For those of you who are insistent gift givers, we have put together a registry page on our website. Please note that the venue does not allow outside alcohol, including for gifts, so if that's something you want to give, ensure it is well wrapped.
