Aubrey's one of the sweetest people who also (somehow, at the same time) is quite the jokester. She's a fantastic teacher, softball player, and an all around lovely human being who could eat more Mexican food than anyone else, period. Lefty often attributes memories of playing softball, reindeer training, sleepovers, camping, and hiking to both Aubrey and Brandy. When asked if she would either dress up as a Disney princess or a Disney villian, Aubrey firmly declaired Anna from Frozen for four, entirely logical reasons. 1. Scandinavian similarities 2. Professional snowman builder (see resume) 3. She wears her hair in braids 4. Dating a man with a horse? Out. Dating a man with a reindeer? IN.
Kadie Skou
Bridesmaid
Kadie Skou is a fiercely independent, fashionably sensible globe-trotter, with the driest sense of humor this side of the Rockies. Celia and Kadie have been nerding-out since high school. At one point Celia was the cool older sister, and now she is just a nagging mom, but hey it's still family. Kadie and Celia both went to Ashland for college, and still get together to eat burritos and re-watch Harry Potter for the 50th time. Knobs, sheep, and a fine collection of records are all testaments to Kadie Skou's cultured heart. In fact, Kadie bought Celia her first record; this started the collection that Celia and Lefty have today. Kadie lives a dual life - she is both princess and villain. According to Kadie, Pocahontas is the most admirable, but Cruella de Vil is the most relatable. So wise.
Brandy Knowles
Bridesmaid
Brandy is a down-to-earth, straight shooter who would have your back in a heartbeat. She's got that country twang (aka a cool, cool voice), and also can't leave Safeway without spending less than $80 (we feel this on a spiritual level). Lefty often attributes memories of playing softball, reindeer training, sleepovers, camping, and hiking to both Aubrey and Brandy - watching a reindeer eat out of Brandy's jacket pocket is THE most adorable thing, and several dugout cheers and handshakes can be credited to BK's brilliance. When asked whether Brandy would be a Disney princess or a Disney villain, Brandy's immediate answer was Sven from Frozen... definitely a villain then :)
Krystina Jermaczonak
Bridesmaid
Krystina is a kind, hilarious, and empathetic gal that could clean your clock at a dance-off and still make you feel like you won. She's got a big heart, and an even bigger sense of eclectic humor! While she is standing on Celia's side (there was a battle for claiming rights), Krystina has been one of Lefty's friends since high school when they bonded over their overdramatic genes and odd skits. However, Celia would like it to be known that she and Krystina have known each other since their freshman year of college when they bonded over pictures of pretty houses and how weird Lefty truly can be. She would most definitely dress up as a Disney princess - Ariel to be exact!
Katie & McKenna
Bridesmaid
By happenstance Katie & Mac came into our lives with a soaring declaration of "Chicken Pot Pie!" Now on a normal occasion, Celia would have not made eye-contact with the singing women in the Growler Guys parking lot, but they had just watched a very emotional episode of Top Chef with Carla making chicken pot pie for Jimmy Fallon, and could not resist the urge to share. Since that fateful night, we have been brunching, barbequing, river rafting, and playing board games like normal adults. We were so excited to celebrate their engagement last summer, and estatic that they will help us celebrate our wedding day by being our bridesmaids! Photo Order: McKenna (on left) and Katie (on right)
