Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Space at the Kenwood Depot is somewhat limited, but there will be a reserved lot at the fire station across the street. Please do not park in residential driveways.

What's the dress code?

Answer

We don’t have a dress code, but if you want inspiration, think: relaxed smart casual. We will be outside and inside, so plan for comfort (and August weather)!

What's with all the trains?

Answer

The Kenwood Depot is a historic train station (not to mention a lovely venue), so that set the theme in locomotion. For our honeymoon, we’re planning to take the California Zephyr from the Bay Area to Chicago — so yes, trains just kept coming up. We also live across the street from our local train station! (There’s absolutely no requirement to dress like a conductor… unless that’s your dream. In which case: all aboard?)

Kenwood is a lovely quiet area nestled along Highway 12 in Sonoma County. A short drive in either direction from the venue will take you to the city of Santa Rosa (north) or the lush Sonoma Valley (south). Within less than an hour's drive, you can be deep in wine country, hiking along the coast, or exploring the Bay Area. We live in Petaluma (about 45 minutes north of San Francisco), known for a well-preserved historic downtown, film locations from American Graffiti, and an obsession with chickens. If you're coming from out of the area and need recommendations, let us know!
