Nicholas and Shae met online using the dating app, "Bumble" in early February of 2021. They bonded over their joint interest in Criminal Justice & Vine memes. Their first date was to a sushi place in Edgewater, Chicago, and later became an inside joke for the reason that Shae barely eats sushi but did not want to come off as "picky" on the first date. Nevertheless, despite not liking the food as much, Shae describes the company as being everything she was looking for. Later that night, Shae showed Nick the movie Step Brothers for the first time on his portable DVD player his mom got him (Thanks Diana!!!) and the rest is, what they say, history!
